Neighbor to Neighbor has partnered with AmeriCorps and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention through Public Health AmeriCorps. Neighbor to Neighbor is working with local non-profit providers through recruitment, training, and development of the next generation of public health leaders.
To be an AmeriCorps member you must be 18 years old and able to pass a criminal background check. Benefits include a living wage, tuition reimbursement, health coverage, day care assistance, and mileage reimbursement.
Public Health AmeriCorps Has Two Main Goals
- Address public health needs of local communities by providing support in state and local public health settings and advancing more equitable health outcomes for underserved communities.
- Create pathways to good quality public health-related careers through onsite experience and training, with a focus on recruiting AmeriCorps members who reflect the communities in which they will serve.
