Connect

When you live alone, sometimes you can go days without speaking to another person. Our Connect volunteers have conversations with a neighbor needing a friendly voice and occasional check-in. The Connect calls are a proven way to drive positive meaning full connection that promotes living independently.

Connect volunteers are supported in the following areas:

• Training
• Orientation
• N2N provides phone line
• N2N Staff Support
• Flexible Scheduling

In addition to Connect volunteer opportunities, we also have Senior Companion Program opportunities. 

The Senior Companion Program Offers:

• Rides to vital medical appointments as well as quality of life destinations such as the grocery store, pharmacy or bank
• Delivery of food pantry boxes once a week
• Assist client in learning new technology to stay connected to family and medical providers 
• In-home visits from a friendly volunteer to promote independence and aging in place 
• Information on where to find low-cost/free immunizations and testing as well as how to prepare for hurricanes and other natural emergencies
