Who We Are
Mary Lou Brown, a local social worker, recognized that elderly and chronically ill people needed resources that could be provided through case management. In 2005, she created Neighbor to Neighbor to meet the needs of those individuals. The following year, N2N provided care consultations, referrals, Medicaid application assistance and housing rehabilitation to 50 home-bound seniors in Horry County. We’ve continued to grow exponentially, both in terms of clients and volunteers. N2N expanded our service area to include Georgetown County in 2010, adding Brunswick, North Carolina in 2019. Through the years, N2N has built strong and lasting partnerships within the communities we serve.
